Forward Planning
As part of the development of Project Worth, the planning team runs regular reviews of the UK Coal portfolio to identify development opportunities and to establish a development strategy for each site in order to maximise value.
This involves the long term promotion of land through Regional Spatial Strategy review and at Local Development Framework level. The portfolio consists of a number of different types of sites ranging from rail connected potential employment opportunities, to residential development sites and large mixed use regeneration schemes.
In addition to this strategic work, the planning team also submits and progresses planning applications supported by our consultants. Current planning applications are detailed below.
- Yorkshire Main
- Sharlston
- Bates Staithes
- Ellington – Proposed residential led mixed use scheme. To be submitted late 2008.
- Rufford – Proposed 100 acre employment park. Application to be submitted late 2008.
