Project Lounge
The 100 acre Project Lounge site is being progressed in Joint Venture with Gazeley Plc, the distribution development specialist company within the Asda Wal-Mart family.
There is a significant shortage of major distribution sites in the East Midlands region and this site can deliver specialist distribution buildings, rail connected, designed and built to the highest sustainability and environmental standards, the development will have the potential to produce in excess of 1,000 well paid and sustainable jobs.
The Joint Venture has submitted a planning application in August 2007. The scheme will include a 79,000 sq.m warehouse with rainwater harvesting and recycling, energy efficient lighting, photovoltaic panels and forest stewardship council approved timber. Around 900 jobs will be created. The Application will now be progressed through the planning process, targeting a consent & start on site at the earliest possible time.
