UK Coal safety way
The UK Coal Safety Way is a combination of a number of factors with the aim of having zero accidents and zero incidents within the UK Coal Group.
Target zero
This is a company vision with the aim of achieving zero reportable accidents.
Zero tolerance
This is a behavioural initiative in which risk taking will not be accepted under any circumstances.
Zero mindset
This is the company’s endeavour to carry out our business with zero accidents and injuries, zero accidental emissions to the environment, zero occupational illnesses and zero damage.
Zero harm
Means that it is UK Coal’s vision that there should be no harm to anyone, anytime, whilst at work.
Zero repeats
This is preventing the same, or similar, accidents or incidents happening repeatedly. Identifying who’s most likely to be involved, what the most likely incidents are and what the contributing factors to the repeats are.
