Cutacre
This 322 hectare site was granted planning permission in 2001 for the recovery of some 500,000 tonnes of coal from a tip washing process and a further 900,000 tonnes by surface mining methods. Operations on site commenced in 2006 and are expected to last for approximately 4 years.
The restoration scheme provides for the creation of over 100 hectares of amenity woodland and wetlands as well as for an area of industrial development.
