Stonish Hill
In November 2006 Newark and Sherwood District Council refused planning permission for a 7 turbine wind farm on the former Bilsthorpe Colliery and adjacent farm land. The turbines proposed at that time were 110 m high. After reviewing the reasons for refusal Harworth Power resubmitted the application in June 2007 based on a revised scheme which reduced the number of turbines and the height.
The revised scheme is currently with Newark and Sherwood District Council where it will be brought in front of the Planning Committee in the near future to allow for determination of the planning application.
